Bitcoin Network: Lightning Node Analysis Report
As a user with several Bitcoin networks, it is essential to stay up to date with the latest ideas and discoveries of the community. Recently, I carried out an analysis of my LND node (Lightning Network Daemon), which provides detailed information on its interactions with the network. The results were striking: 19,000 knots reported Bolt9 characteristics, while 6,000 nodes did not report such features.
background on bolt9
Bolt9 is a functionality introduced by Lightning Labs which allows bidirectional communication between nodes and relays, allowing faster and more effective transactions. By default, this whole Bolt9 report, which allows the affected performance and scalability of the network. However, it appears that a note may not meet this standard.
Analysis of the release of the LND node
, Decregraph command), I noticed a particular decreeing between the number of bolt9 features reported and the real present of these characteristics on these nodes. According to my analysis, around 19,000 notes were detected as having Bolt9 characteristics. However, only 6,000 of these notes actually indicate a Bolt9 functionality.
Conclusion
Although it seems countersin that a subset of nodes is not Bolt9 characteristics reported, I think it is possible that some note correctly Bolt9 report problems.
I identify and use these inconsistencies. In addition, a more in -depth analysis can provide more overview of the profound causes of this decreeing and identify the potential areas for the improvement of future updates.
