Here's a simple pair of earrings with freshwater pearls with textured wire. They are completely handmade in solid sterling silver. You can choose the pearl color also. Each earrings is handcrafted so they might be a little different. A silver wire is wrapped around a pearl and soldered at multiple places.

__COLORS__
Freshwater pearl have a nice luster and usually lots of overtone (second color). They are cultured in mussel and come in many color variation, such as order white, cream, light yellow, orange or pink.
Also, some pearls are treaded by irradiation to change their color. This treatment use gamma rays to darken the nucleus of the pearl. All dark freshwater pearls, such as peacock, dark green, dark blue, dark violet, dark gray..etc. are treated by irradiation. The result is very nice and tends to imitates Tahitian pearls. Irradiated pearls have colors that look much more «natural» than dyed pearls.
Some pearls are also dye to change their colors. This treatment gives vibrant colors, but the colors may change a little bit after a couple of years because it is not stable like irradiation.
