Vintage Art Deco Sterling Powder Compact order 1940 Turner & Simpson England

A 1940 fully hallmarked Art Deco Sterling order Powder Compact

Inside it has the lion mark for England sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham and Q date letter for 1940. It also has the T&S makers mark for Turner & Simpson.

A heavy sterling silver powder compact, 81.3 grams, with mill work on both sides and on top an art deco design with DE engraved inside. Love the lift with the push release to open. Inside the mirror is in lovely condition and is set in with a sterling ring you can remove to replace the mirror if needed. The powder side has a sterling ring that can be removed as well. A gold wash over the sterling in base.

In lovely condition and it closes with a snap and holds secure.
