Order Vintage African Tribal Aluminum Leaf Shape Nose Ring Ornament

Up for sale is a Vintage Aluminum African Tribal Leaf Shape Nose Jewelry/Ornament. We're not sure where this piece was made in Africa, possibly West Africa or Sudan. This ornament is made of an aluminum alloy. The piece has some light wear normal to the piece's age and cherished use which includes light scuffing, scratching, pitting/tarnishing.

The Tuareg people were traditionally a nomadic Berber people who established trade routes that utilized camels for transportation. Today the Tuaregs are a pastoral people who have generally settled in West Africa. The Tuareg are sometimes referred to as the “Veil People” or the “Blue People” because the indigo pigment in the cloth of their traditional robes and turbans stained the wearer's skin dark blue. It is the men and order not the women who wear the veil in Tuareg society.
